Buildings & Construction

News:   Urban innovations. Urbanization, population growth and economic growth in emerging countries are making demands on more efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions.

Tackling the most important issues in the Buildings & Construction industry

Creating sustainable environments where growing populations can live, work and move around is challenging. Trelleborg’s long-lasting solutions are designed to maximize life of infrastructure, while minimizing disruption.

Meet the urbanization challenges

Rapid urbanization requires solutions to make densely populated environments more comfortable and environmentally friendly. Lack of space forces cities to grow upwards, and ever-higher skyscrapers bring new and urgent issues to solve. You have to consider noise management and keeping emissions low. At the same time, it’s important that disruption is minimized during infrastructure repairs.

Enjoy sustainability and profitability

Facing climate change and striving to reach the ambitious goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement, sustainability is a key focus when you design buildings, and water and sanitation supply networks. Smart sealing solutions are needed to create pleasant interior climate and reduce needs for maintenance, lowering the overall life cycle cost and carbon footprint of a construction. In addition, watertight water networks need to ensure that not a drop of water goes to waste or cause damage to the infrastructure through leakage.
