Luxembourg gifts the UAE their pavilion at the of Expo

News:   What happens to all the pavilions after Expo 2020? Luxembourg has announced that they will gift their pavilion to the UAE after the exhibition. There is also something called District 2020, where Expo will live on.

Luxembourg will be gifting the UAE their pavilion at the end of Expo. This was announced when Luxembourgs Minister of Economy Franz Fayot met with Reem Al Hashimy, director General of Expo 2020 Dubai.

This gift is meant to illustrate Expo 2020’s: “commitment to the meaningful, lasting legacy of the next World Expo and reflecting the strong, growing relationship between the two countries.” writes the Expo committee in a press release.

“Our actions today will impact the environment we leave for our children tomorrow, and this generous act reflects our collective responsibility to leave a lasting positive impact.” Reem Al Hashimy said during the meeting.

This answers the question of what happens after Expo 2020. All participating nations are putting a lot of resources towards this event and as the first World Expo to be held in the Arab World Expo 2020 will continue to live on after its last day. This through the relations and cooperation it creates, but also physically in “District 2020, a model global community for the future that will use state-of-the-art innovation, science and sustainability to create a cleaner, safer, healthier environment to live and work.” At least 80% of the infrastructure built for Expo 2020 will be reused for District 2020.
