"Stray Kids" - ambassadors of the Korea Pavilion
The eight K-pop stars of the group “Stray Kids”, with 4.1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, and 34 million social networking followers, have now been appointed ambassadors of the Korea pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The group debuted in 2017 and has already grown popular all over the globe. What this ambassadorship will mean for the pavilion, its programme and activities is yet to be revealed. What is known is that the interest in the K-pop group is huge, and perhaps that interest will rub off on Korea’s participation in Expo 2020, as well as on the country’s export.
The Korea pavilion operates under the theme “Smart Korea, Moving The World To You” and is located in the Mobility District at the Expo 2020 site.
