Three course space meal served at Expo
During Friday, visitors at the Swedish pavilion at Expo had the opportunity to enjoy a three course meal with a space theme. The lunch was followed by a round table discussion where astronaut lifestyle was the main topic.
“It is interesting that the astronauts eat exactly what they need and they consume the exact amount of water they need in outer space. This is an inspiration for todays menu”, says Cecilia Hertz, program manager for space week at the Swedish pavilion.
This was the menu served at the pavilion:
Starter
Shrimp and umami sea lettuce cocktail with pickled radishes and noir seasoned bettor, black roa tube and retro pocket pipette.
Main Course
Future irradiation – kalanamac salted loin of red dear with rocket mix, cabbage and apple filled “spudnicks”.
Desert
Fuglesangs rocket and Esrange snow and berries.
