This is how timber ends up in your wardrobe
The Swedish forestry industries creates the material of tomorrow. By tearing apart the most delicate part of the tree trunk and purifying it to clean cellulose mass, fibers can be created which later becomes thread – fabric – clothes.
From trees the textiles Lyocell, Modal, and Viscose is created, materials which are already widely used within the fashion industry. These materials are not only more eco-friendly in their making, but has better breathability as fabrics, making them more comfortable to wear than plastic fibres, such as polyester.
These cellulosa based fabrics are a big part in the fashion industry’s chance of reaching their goals of a sustainable future.
